Assignment 1: Explore History on the Web Explore representations of history on the web. Find articles that discuss how the web changes the way we can exhibit history, or how the web changes the traditional narrative-based style of writing history. Additionally, find an example of a site that documents a particular period in history. Once you are finished exploring, select a site to present to the class. Take 5 or so minutes to walk the class through the site, while addressing the following questions: Who made the site? Who hosts it? What is its purpose? Does it rely on text, images, both, or more? Does it use a narrative form, non-linear form, or both? What does it describe? Do the creators of the site explain their biases? Are you convinced that this is a reputable source for finding out "what really happened"?
