Guidelines for Reading Response Papers

Your reading response paper should be 1/2 to 1 page, or approximately 300 words. You can write about any number of things, such as:

1. What you see as the most important themes in the reading;
2. Something that caught your attention that you want to learn more about;
3. Something that really made you think;
4. Something that you think is wrong or incorrect;
5. Something you think would make a good topic for class conversation;
6. Something not mentioned in the reading but that is tangentially related and worth discussing further.

Note that you do not need to answser all of these questions; they are simply meant as a guide for you to use as you articulate your thoughts.

When you are finished, please post your response paper on the course Canvas site at least 2 hours before class starts.

Please also print your response, bring it to class, and be prepared to share your thoughts.
